HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

Happy Thanskgiving everyone! Cannot wait to eat some turkey, fill up on some stuffing, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie! I love big family get-togethers.

I cannot believe how fast time flies. This year has been going by so quickly, it'll be Christmas before we know it. Anyone doing any Black Friday shopping? I don't think I will be this year, I have some major last minute cramming to do before my big boards exam Dec 1st... so all my time needs to go to that except this little break to make a few posts on my blog, which I've neglected for a while!

I've been so busy with finishing up my rotation at the VA hospital in Connecticut and moving back to Maryland with my cousin's cruise wedding in between! Yup, busy busy! Anyhow, hope everyone has a great holiday! Eat lots! :)

Product Review: Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Treatment Cream

In the last few months, my skin has been very terrible. I have been breaking out like crazy. I actually think it could have been the water in CT that caused my skin havoc.. since being back in Maryland, I feel like my skin has improved a lot. Regardless, I tried a whole bunch of acne products to try to calm my skin.

One of the products I tried was Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Treatment Cream, Tinted, 1 oz. Its a super strong formulation with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Medication as opposed the usual 2% formulations. It touted clearer skin in just 3 days. Also, with this product, you must use sunscreen if going outdoors (this is why its impt the read the labeling otherwise you might not catch this pt!) Due to the higher concentration, a possible side effect would be skin irritation and redness and also due to excessive drying, you should start with one application and work up to 3 applications.

I did feel like this product worked quickly to resolve some of my acne spots, but I experienced excessive drying in the areas I applied and in some spots, I felt that it darkened my skin in that area. If you need something quick acting, this product is definitely good, but I would recommend using a very small amount and only at night time since it is advised to limit sun-use with this product probably due to product interactions with the sun.

Cruising Along

I'm done my rotation site at the Hartford CT VA, 3 months done! It really flew by. I had a great time traveling the Northeast :) although I will admit Hartford was pretty boring, def made the best of it! I'm back to Maryland now for my next rotation. I guess theres no place like home although its been quite a while since I lived at home now! My cousin is getting married on a cruise ship so thats where I'll be for the next week. We're going to St. Maartens and St. Thomas... super excited! Hope you guys have a great week!
