How I Met Your Mother

Currently, I am watching How I Met Your Mother. Its such a funny show! I watched an episode on CBS randomly and I was hooked. Sometimes you just need a comedy to de-stress to :P Its pretty much about a bunch of friends who live in NYC and their relationships, which sounds kinda like Friends, but just a different cast dynamic. The main story line is about how the main character, Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor), meets his future wife. Neil Patrick Harris plays Barney, who is a single play boy with the worst lines and catch phrases, but I still love him! haha. Alyson Hannigan from American Pie stars in it as the wife of Marshall (Jason Segel). Robin (Cobie Smulders) is a gun-loving Canadian who is the Metro 1 Newsreporter, who also has a relationship with Ted. The characters are all pretty funny in their own way. They also have a bunch of guest appearances such as Bob Barker, Britney Spears and Sarah Chalke from Scrubs. Sorry if I'm rehashing this to you guys who already watch the show, but do you guys watch/ like the show too?

Sales Galore!

I recently got a few really great purchases! Theres some great summer sales going on. I would definitely recommend checking out

1. Urban Outfitters - when I went, it was additional 50% off sale items! Its great scoring a dress thats originally $58 for $15, pretty much 75% off!! Ridiculously good.. I don't normally shop there, but we just happen to stroll in. The sale stuff online is actually pretty decent as well, not additional off but still pretty decent!


2. H&M - they've got some great end of the summer sales, I purchased a skirt there for only $5 (the one in my birthday pictures), but at my most recent visit, I actually didn't find anything I liked in my size. Its sad when you find something you really like but not in your size :( but I would still seek it out cuz some H&Ms are better than others

3. Banana Republic - I LOVE BR petites. They always have the best stuff in smaller sizes which is great for my frame. They have a bunch of final sale items so I got a really cute black ruffled cardigan for only $12.97. What a lucky find! I love ruffles + I keep wearing the same cardigan over my dresses to work so it'll be good to switch it up! Its similar to this Express cardigan if you're curious!

4. Target - My friend Lorrie and my cousin BOTH bought 4 pairs of shoes for under $20!! How ridiculously good is that! They always have good sales online as well. Its great cuz you can return what you don't like at the store so I'm never hesitant to buy from Target.com. At my recent visit, the Target by my house didn't have a large mark downs, a pair of heels my friend got for $4.98 was still $13.98, but I'm sure the price will come down soon so check at your local stores since it seems not everything is marked down at the same time. Gotta love a good sale esp in these tough recession times! Also because I am a super poor optometry student :(

Jessica Szohr at the Charlotte Russe Event

Here Gossip Girl, Jessica Szohr is seen at the Charlotte Russe 'Fall 2009 launch' event in NYC on July 15th. I think she looks great in this gray/blk jumper. Its a simple outfit, which is enhanced with her accessories - the necklace, ring, shoes and her red clutch for a little color! She looks great! The best thing about her outfit is how cheap her jumper is, at $24.99 at Charlotte Russe, you can slip one on yourself :) I love it when celebs wear frugal finds! Its great shes supporting the retailer even though usually these events are for a more luxe designer. I think Charlotte Russe is trying to change their image a little bit. Their pieces seem to be going for a more romantic theme, which I do like! as opposed to the clubby stuff I usually think when I think of Charlotte Russe. The Ugly Truth

Here are pictures of Katherine Heigel and Gerald Butler at the premiere of their new movie, The Ugly Truth, in theaters July 24th. Katherine is looking gorgeous in her dress, loving the pearls! Perfectly put together, she is! Are you liking her darker do? I see her as more of a blond, but I think the color looks nice esp with the dress she chose. Gerald Butler is looking super good in his suit too! Are you guys planning to watch The Ugly Truth? I haven't seen a movie in a while, so I might go to the theater to check it out. Sometimes a good chick flick is what you need!

Don't be scared of the eye doc, be Fashionable!

OMG, I am TOTALLY loving this Vogue spread with Lily Donaldson, which I found from because i am addicted (totally love her blog) . I am a huge nerd! But it makes going to the eye doctor look like a total fashion event. Thats right, bring on the glamour! I'm ready for it ;)

Quarter-life Birthday Bash!

Whoo hoo! I made it through my quarter-life birthday! It was awesome and I do admit I feel no different! I got some great things for my birthday so I'll have more things to review.. yay!

I had an AMAZING meal at Buddakan in Philadelphia (the original!) I would definitely recommend you check out this restaurant if you are ever in the area. Great atmosphere and exceptional food! We had 2 appetizers and we each got an entree + shared a bottle of sake. Good times! :)

The duck was amazing! Probably the best dish.. hard to say, either that or the chops!
