Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 Premiere

Monday was the premiere of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 at the Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC. The girls all looked ravishing, well I'm not sure if I'm really liking Amber Tamblyn's pant suit, it would have been nicer if she wore a little dress or something, but anyway, I'm especially loving the other girl's dresses.

It's been a while since I've seen Alexis Bledel on the red carpet, but she looks so pretty! Her outfit is amazing on her and she has some great makeup on, the slightly fuscia lips and minimal makeup really show off her piercing blue eyes.

Ugly Betty actress, America Ferrera looks so vibrant in blue, much change from her character on the show!

I loovee Blake Lively's hair. Its always so wavy and I liked how she added a few braids in it with her boho chic maxi dress. I had to add a picture of Leighton Meester, who came to support her fellow Gossip Girl castmate. As usual, she also look so very lovely. So simple and chic in a little black dress.

Enjoy the movie if you guys go see it and let me know what you think of it!

Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers Perfume

Gwen Stefani is releasing 5 new scents in totally adorable bottles as Harajuku dolls. I absolutely love these doll-packaged scents. Wouldn't you just want to keep these decorated on your dresser!?

You gotta give it to Gwen. She knows how to sell to the masses and I'm sure these Harajuku Lovers perfume will not disappoint. They are coming out on September, prices ranging from $25 for small size to $45 for the larger bottle. Her 4 scents are named Love, Lil' Angel, Music, Baby and G.

Love is a floral with top notes of sparkling bergamot, pink pomelo, peach and bamboo leaf mist; a heart of watery peony, living hydroponic lace rose, jasmine sambac, nectarine blossom, creamy paperwhites and Egyptian jasmine, and a drydown of petally ylang, creamy vanilla orchid, sensual musk and blond wood.

Lil’ Angel is a fruity floral with notes of raspberry, cranberry, blackberry and pineapple; a heart of pear blossom, candied violet and sugared rose, and a drydown of lollipop accord, hinoki wood and crystal amber.

Music
has top notes of clementine and sparkling pear; a heart of jasmine sambac, sweet pea and honeysuckle, and a drydown of vanilla, skin musk and sleek woods.

Baby
, has top notes of freesia, bergamot and white rose; a heart of orange flower, tiare flower and jasmine petals, and a drydown of white musk, soft woods, heliotrope, vanilla and violet.

G
has top notes of crisp mandarin, fresh coconut and apple skin; a heart of jasmine sambac, soft freesia and magnolia vapor, and a drydown of coconut cream, white sandalwood and cottonwoods.

I can't get over how cute these bottles of perfume are! I love Gwen and everything she does. So I can't wait to get my hands on one of these!

Nerd COOL

I absolutely adore Mandy Moore's outfit at the LAX Airport. She's stylish without trying too hard and looking comfy and practical. She's not wearing any contact lenses, instead opting for some nerd-cool plastic zyl frames. Good choice since wearing her contacts on the plane may dry out her eyes especially while traveling long distances and its best NOT to sleep in your contact lenses. I'm loving the converses as well. I know some of you wouldn't agree with me but I can't get over how much I love every piece of this outfit!

If you wanna try this nerd-cool look:

Loving the short do's!

Looks like Eva Longoria has also jumped onto the short hair-do craze in Hollywood. Ever since Vicki B. came to town, & Rihanna debuted a hit album with the asymmetrical bob (& moved onto the pixie cut), it seems hair craze continues! Katie Holmes, Jenny McCarthy, Paris Hilton, Kimberly Stewart & of course Hayden Pannetierre, just to name a few!

What do you think? Do you like Eva's new short-do? She is too cute! She's so small and petite but you don't always realize it until she's next to her 6'2 basketball star husband, Tony Parker

Another celebrity, Kimberly Stewart, daughter of Rod Stewart, pretty much famous from being friends with Paris Hilton, also has a new short pixie-do. She looks fabulous! I couldn't even recognize her. She looks a lot better than her old long lochs. Do you agree!?

Perfect Manicure

I got a manicure and pedicure for the FIRST time about a month ago! I know, way long overdue! It was quite a nice experience, someone pampering you and they def do a heck of a better job at painting my nails than I do! I have a hard time sitting still and waiting for my nails to dry. Even still, the minute I walk out of the salon, I chipped a nail by brushing my nails by the zipper of my purse accidently.. oops! But it def got worse day by day.. but my pedicure stayed on nice and long. I had them painted with OPI Swedish Nude. I love this color!! It is a nice, thick whitish creme color. BUT its currently discontinued! The only place I can find it is online at some random beauty stores or ebay :( I am so sad! Any suggestions on another color?

Some suggestions on keeping your nails in tip top shape from Ji Baek, famous NY manicurist who wrote the book Rescue Your Nails: A Do-It-Yourself Guide to Perfect Fingers and Toes & some others:

1. Make sure your tools are clean!
Boil or bake (375 degrees) the tools for 15 minutes, or soak in rubbing alcohol for 10 to 15 minutes.

2. Trim, file and then buff your nails to a desired length.
For weak or fragile nails, Baek suggests filing in one direction, rather than back and forth. For pedicures, this is where you would next use a Diamancel file and scrub dead skin from the heels of your feet.

3. Soak hands or feet in warm water and gently push back your cuticles. Trim the excess skin from cuticles, but be careful not to overtrim since cuticles protect our nails.

4. Moisturize your hands!

5. Apply Base Coat, Color & Top Coat
Apply a thin layer of base coat and let dry completely. Then, add the color, slowly and also in thin layers, avoiding sloppy glops. Base coat is important because it holds polish in place so it lasts longer.

Paint the white tips following the contour of your natural nails, but don't worry if you paint the white polish messy. When the polish is still wet, clean the brush in nail polish remover before running it along the near edge of this white tip to clean up the lines. This will leave you with perfectly even, accurate white tips. Use a pale, sheer, pink polish to paint over the whole entire nail. End with a top coat to seal in your manicure

*tip from lil one: use acetone on a brush to create clean white tips.

6. Don't rush! Take your time!.
Allow your nails proper time to dry. Don't tempt yourself in using your phone or computer.

7. In order to maintain your manicure and pedicure, apply fresh coat of top coat every three days & try not to use your nails as tool! i.e., opening can of soda, peeling a sticker, etc.

Right now I'm trying an easy-to-do-kit by Sally Hansen for those of you who are kinda lazy like me! I'll let you know how it turns out :)

Sun Protection II

Even if you're not out in the sun all day, I do recommend wearing sunscreen everyday ESPECIALLY on your face and neck if thats the only thing you're going to do. Gotta protect your skin as much as you can :)

I personally use Olay Complete Defense Daily Uv Moisturizer SPF 30. I usually buy it at my local Target. I love this face lotion. It moisturizes well and gives me the sun protection I need. Its great for all year round.

In addition to the SPF face you use, you can also WASH ON your SPF! St. Ives Elements Protective Cleanser cleans AND adds on an SPF 10 onto your face. So for those of you who want a little extra protection or those of you who don't wear sunscreen when you know you should, try this! SPF 10 isn't really much of anything, but better something than nothing.
